Early Life of Vincent McMahon

Vincent was born on August 24, 1945, in Pinehurst North Carolina, to Victoria and Vincent James McMahon. Vincent lived with his mother and a string of stepfathers as Vinnie Lupton. He also overcame dyslexia as a child. He met his father, James McMahon at the age of twelve only, and till then the interest of wrestling business and following his father’s footstep had already grown in him, Vincent wanted to a wrestler from a young age too.

McMahon graduated from University of North Carolina in 1968, at the age of 23, with a business degree and was impatient to enter his father’s World Wide Wrestling Federation promotion business. He finally made a debut in 1969 as the in-ring announcer for the WWF All-star wrestling.

He was then allocated to a small territory in Maine in 1971 when he promoted his first card. After which he was assigned to the role of play-by-play commentator for tv matches, once he replaced Ray Morgan, and maintained that position until 1997. All through the 1970s, Vincent became and remained as an important individual in his father’s company, and also helped his father in tripling television syndication.

He was the one who pushed for the company to be renamed to the World Wrestling Foundation, WWF. The same younger Vincent was also behind the Muhammad Ali and Antonio Inoki match, back in 1976. In 1979, Vincent and his wife originated their own new company, Titan Sports, which was included the next year, and then bought the Capitol Wrestling Co. from his ill father, who later died in 1984, in 1982, when he was only 37 years old.

After his father’s death and with the power of the company in his hands, Vincent later picked the character of ‘Mr. McMahon’ and started his career as a professional wrestler inside the ring, after a long feud between wrestlers and the business people Vincent realized his physical capability and walked from the commentary table, and the rest is history to Mr. McMahon.

Vincent and Linda McMahon, the former WWE CEO and present American SBA administrator, bought the Cape Cod Buccaneers and the Cape Cod Coliseum of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League, in addition, hockey and professional wrestling, they started organizing rock concerts of artists including Van Halen and Rush, in non-summer months, when tourism is slow and considered as an unprofitable time.

This startup further led to the McMohan couple join the International Association of Arena Managers, which Linda McMahon is seen to be calling a great part which contributed to WWE’s network. Later McMahon also found a bodybuilding organization, the World Bodybuilding Foundation, in 1990. In 2000, McMahon again stepped out to venture outside professional wrestling and launched an XFL, a professional American football league.

The league started in 2001, but then quickly crumbled after the first season due to lower television ratings. But then in February 2014, McMahon helped launch the WWE network, an OTP streaming service. Later in 2017, McMahon funded Alpha Entertainment, a separate organization from WWE.

McMahon live streamed the announcement of the new company just last year, and also confirmed the resurrection of the XFL, his long shut down American football league.

Vincent McMahon’s net worth is 3.3 billion USD as of now. With ventures in new businesses and out of the wrestling industry, McMahon’s net worth has varied over the years, but 3.3 billion it is now. Vincent McMahon has a $40 million mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut, a $12 million penthouse in Manhattan, New York, a $20 million home just for vacations, and a 47-foot sports yard named sexy bitch, as of last recorded in 2006.

Mr. and Mrs. McMahon have donated to different Republican party causes, adding $1 million to federal candidates and political action committee, in 2014, such as the research and tracking group American Rising, and Karl Rove’s American Crossroads.

They donated above $8 million in 2008, as grants to North Carolina University, Fishburne Military School, and Sacred Heart University. McMahon has also donated Donald Trump’s charity, the Donald J. Trump Foundation. They also paid $2.5 million to the construction of a tennis facility in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. They have been supporting the Special Olympics since 1986.

Vincent McMahon always had a clear path towards, but not an easy one. He sure has worked through everything to reach where he is, in his life, right now. The position he has earned in his life can only be achieved through hard work.
